Cannon Beach is a pretty spendy area. If you are willing to go to a different beach you can find lots of nice, inexpensive places. A good place to look is at KOA Kampgrounds. They have cabins you can rent that sleep up to 5 for around $50. They have one in Waldport which is near Newport. It's a very nice area. Go to www.koa.com to check it out. Or there are lots of inexpensive places in Newport. Plus there are lots of things to do in Newport.

Local campgrounds are great! You can also rent a yurt for cheap and they have electricity and lights. Make sure you make reservations in advance because they are hard to come by.
